Mushroom Biltong
Ingredients
8 Portabello mushrooms
2 tbsp tamari
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp smoked paprika
Method
1 Clean and thickly slice the mushrooms.
2 In a non-metallic bowl, combine all the ingredients. Mix well, cover and allow mushrooms to marinate for 2 – 4 hours.
3 Place mushrooms into a dehydrator or on trays in the oven at low heat and dehydrate for 6 – 8 hours, until dried to your liking.
4 Store in an airtight container. Will keep for up to 2 weeks
