I love the fact that mushrooms fit comfortably into any meal or snack category – I can’t imagine eating parsnips and green beans for brekkies, but that may be just me! Case in point is Alida Ryder’s (of Simply Delicious blog fame!) Ultimate Creamy Mushrooms on sourdough with fried eggs and chilli oil https://bit.ly/1wa4kvr – an awesomely quick supper, or showstopper brunch, you choose. I think both, and forget about feeding two, there’s just enough for seconds! Jamie Oliver does something very similar https://bit.ly/1qzNBQi, but suggests using his Creamy Mushrooms as a layer in lasagne, as a sauce for pork or even mixing them with beef strips and rice. Mmm… it’s all making me very hungry! Excuse me, but I need to go check if I have mushrooms, parsley and cream in the fridge…
