  • 2 cup(s) cooked pasta of choice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 onion, chopped
  • 225 g sliced white button mushrooms
  • 2 garlic cloves (optional)
  • 1 Pinch of salt & pepper to season
  • 0.25 cup(s) cup white wine (optional)
  • 1 handful(s) chopped thyme fresh or any 1tsp dried herb of choice
  • 0.5 cup(s) low fat or fat free cream or half and half
  • 0.25 cup(s) parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 0.25 fresh parsley

Creamy Mushrooms Method

    1. Cook pasta according to package instructions
      Heat a pan over medium heat, add oil, and swirl to coat.
    2. Add onion, mushrooms, garlic, pinch of salt & pepper, sauté for 10 minutes or until mushrooms are browned and have released their liquid
    3. Add wine (optional), herbs cook until the liquid evaporates; stirring occasionally.
    4. Remove pan from heat, add hot cooked pasta and pinch of salt, as well as cream and parmesan cheese.
    5. Toss to combine and sprinkle with herbs e.g. parsley, serve warm immediately.
